Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.
Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.
Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) data to support patient safety and clinical decision-making.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting.
Required Qualifications
Active Maryland RN license (Nursys verification must be less than 30 days old).
Minimum of 2 years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required.
Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
Active NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification.
NRP certification required.
COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be state record.
Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions.
Previous travel nursing experience required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a high-volume acute care Labor & Delivery unit.
Familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring interpretation and documentation.
