Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
Deliver and oversee the quality of nursing services provided by self and others under their direction
Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess patient data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring data and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal status
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes in a high-volume Labor & Delivery environment
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required
Active Maryland RN license (verification must be less than 30 days old)
Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer)
Active NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer)
NRP certification required
COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be a state record
Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions
Previous travel nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
Familiarity with compliance documentation processes and rapid onboarding requirements
