Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including vaginal delivery, C-Section circulating, and post-cesarean recovery
- Perform vaginal exams and manage labor and delivery progression
- Care for high-risk antepartum patients, including those with gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
- Respond to and manage obstetrical emergencies, including OB hemorrhage
- Conduct outpatient testing including NST, CST, and BPP, as well as OB triage and MSE
- Provide newborn care within the first hour of life, including support for initial breastfeeding latch; may float to Mother Baby unit as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of fetal monitoring experience
- Demonstrated experience with C-Section circulating and post-CS recovery
- Experience performing vaginal exams and caring for laboring patients through vaginal and cesarean delivery
- Strong critical thinking skills and customer service orientation; must be flexible, adaptable, and a collaborative team player
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Scrub experience in the OR setting
- NCC certification in Inpatient Obstetrics (IP-OB) or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
