Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for high-risk Labor and Delivery patients including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, and maternal emergencies. Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
Provide direct nursing care for high-risk Labor and Delivery patients including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, and maternal emergencies
Perform active management of laboring patients including induction and augmentation
Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 for labor and 1:3 for antepartum
Float between units as needed within the contracted facility and nearby sister facilities
Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
Active RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
Experience with high-risk L&D including antepartum and maternal emergencies
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a modified rate)
2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (location and dates) at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a short-term acute care or Level II Trauma Center setting
Familiarity with VBAC/TOLAC protocols and induction/augmentation management
Previous travel nursing experience with demonstrated scheduling flexibility
