    Job Title

    Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

    Location

    Smyrna, Tennessee

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients in a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio
    • Perform and assist with unit procedures including circulating in the OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management using the JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration
    • Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech electronic documentation systems
    • Support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities in alignment with individual patient preferences
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary laborist team model including 24/7 in-house midwives, dedicated CRNA, and on-call OBGYN
    • Fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per month; float to mother/baby or outside department to task as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current ACLS certification
    • Current NRP certification
    • Fetal monitoring certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Familiarity with Spinning Babies techniques
    • STABLE certification or training
    • Experience with couplet care and breastfeeding support practices
