Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
- Provide and manage direct patient care for obstetric patients, including high-risk and high-acuity cases
- Perform circulating duties within the Labor & Delivery setting
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system (EPIC STORK) to document and manage patient information
- Participate in holiday coverage as required, including two of three designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience, with documented work history reflecting 24 months of current L&D experience
- High-risk and high-acuity Labor & Delivery experience required
- Circulating experience in a Labor & Delivery setting required
- Experience within the past year at a larger, high-volume delivery center (200–300 deliveries/month) required
- Active Iowa RN license (verified Active status via Nursys at time of submission) required
- BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
- ACLS certification through AHA or ARC required
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Valid Driver's License required
- L&D-specific Skills Checklist required at time of submission
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Multiple travel nursing contracts previously completed
- EPIC STORK experience preferred
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
