    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care clinic patients
    • Circulate in the OR — required for all candidates
    • Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide continued newborn care until transfer to postpartum, including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments — required for all candidates
    • Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
    • Utilize electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC electronic health records
    • Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units, as well as sister facilities providing Mother/Baby care, as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with at least 2 years in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment — no exceptions
    • BLS certification required
    • NRP certification required
    • Demonstrated competency in OR circulation and newborn care (eyes, Vitamin K, newborn assessments)
    • Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; locals are accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 5 or more years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
    • ACLS certification
    • AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification
    • Experience with high-volume delivery settings (500+ deliveries per month)
