Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care across antepartum, labor and delivery, high-risk, and triage settings
- Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring
- Assist with and support care during C-sections and vaginal deliveries
- Float to postpartum as needed, including couplet care (maternal and newborn) when census requires
- Participate in newborn role in the delivery room; ability to perform additional newborn-related duties is a plus
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring or NCC EFM, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and FHM
- Every-other-weekend availability required
- No on-call required for this assignment
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission; post-submission RTO may not be considered
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with postpartum couplet care (maternal and newborn)
- Ability to perform newborn role in the delivery room
- Familiarity with high-risk obstetric patient populations
