    RN, Nurse Lead – Labor and Delivery

    San Luis Obispo, CA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM, 3x12s, rotating)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and identify expected outcomes
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating care delivery and employing strategies to promote patient health and safety
    • Collaborate with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to deliver care in a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment
    • Provide health education and information directly to patients, families, and treatment team members
    • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care across the care continuum
    • Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members, including charge nurse responsibilities
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
    • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification completed within the last 2 years
    • Minimum of 5 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with at least 2 years of supervisor or charge nurse experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
    • Experience in an acute care facility setting
