Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Labor and Delivery unit, including support for vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring at intermediate and advanced levels, interpreting and responding to findings appropriately
• Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio across a unit that includes LDR rooms, triage/OBED bays, and antepartum beds
• Document patient care accurately using electronic documentation systems
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
• Collaborate with unit clerks, ORT staff, and the broader care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience in Labor and Delivery
• Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech and/or CPN electronic documentation systems
• Familiarity with high-volume Labor and Delivery environments including triage and antepartum care
