Key Responsibilities

• Independently assess and monitor patients through labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care phases, identifying health care problems and establishing individualized care plans
• Provide direct patient care including breastfeeding assistance and education, infant care instruction, and maternal wellness promotion throughout pregnancy and after delivery
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing supervisors, and the broader healthcare team through verbal and written communication of patient status and care updates
• Document all patient events, interventions, and education accurately in the electronic medical record
• Assist physicians with procedures and support staff in emergencies across nursing units as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment within the Family Birthing Center unit

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of Labor and Delivery / LDRP nursing experience
• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
• Experience collaborating within a mother/baby couplet care model
• Familiarity with nursery nursing and neonatal patient care
