Key Responsibilities
Directly provide patient care and monitor patient response through labor, delivery, and postpartum phases, including breastfeeding support and education
Independently assess and evaluate the health status of labor and neonate patients using objective and subjective data to identify healthcare problems
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and the broader healthcare team to establish and implement individualized care plans with measurable goals
Document all patient events, interventions, and education accurately in the electronic medical record
Communicate patient condition verbally and in writing to physicians and nursing supervisors; assist with physician procedures as needed
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment within the unit and assist staff with emergencies in other nursing units when possible
Required Qualifications
Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado
Minimum of an Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Minimum of two years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
