    Job Title

    Labor and Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse – Day Rotate, Every Other Weekend

    Contract | 36–48 Hours per Week | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights as needed) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite | Shifts rotate between 7:00am–7:30pm, 11:00am–11:30pm, and 7:00pm–7:30am; includes one night of call per rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery settings within a 25-bed unit encompassing 5 L&D rooms, 12 Postpartum rooms, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 ANU rooms
    • Manage and monitor laboring patients including those on Magnesium drips and epidurals, maintaining a 1:1 ratio for active labor and 1:2–3 for evaluations
    • Deliver postpartum care at a 1:3–4 patient ratio, supporting mothers and newborns through recovery and discharge
    • Circulate in the operating room as needed and provide newborn care across the unit
    • Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the EPIC electronic medical records system
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support an average daily census of 15–25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
    Required Qualifications
    • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing
    • Demonstrated skill in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum care, OR circulation, and Newborn care
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification (required every 2 years for L&D)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • AHA ACLS certification
    • Prior experience with EPIC EMR
