    Labor and Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse

    Location

    Salem, MA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | Every Other Weekend | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a combined Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, ORs, Recovery Rooms, and Antepartum/Observation rooms
    • Manage active labor patients with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, including patients on Magnesium drips or epidurals
    • Monitor and care for laboring and evaluation patients at a 1:2–3 ratio and postpartum patients at a 1:3–4 ratio
    • Perform circulating duties in the OR as needed within the unit
    • Provide newborn care and support within the unit setting
    • Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
    Required Qualifications
    • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
    • Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience
    • Active BLS certification
    • Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • Active EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification — renewal required every 2 years
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OR circulating, and newborn care
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • AHA ACLS certification
    • Prior experience with EPIC EMR
