    Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

    Location

    Rockford, IL | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for Labor & Delivery patients
    • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act
    • Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
    • Document patient care according to established standards of care
    • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
    • Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
    Required Qualifications
    • Current Illinois RN License
    • CPR certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
    • High-risk Labor & Delivery experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is required
