Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to low and high-risk obstetric patients in a Family Birth Center setting with a Level III NICU on site
- Utilize Cerner EMR and Fetal Link for fetal heart monitoring and patient surveillance using the Philips FHM system
- Maintain California-mandated nurse-to-patient ratios (1:4 couplet care, 1:1 for active labor)
- Participate in weekend shift rotation (3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) and integrate into the permanent staff holiday rotation
- Float to Pediatrics (couplet patients) and, if experienced, to NICU for feeder/grower assignments
- Complete a proctored, pass/fail Dysrhythmia Test on the first day of assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in California
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Advanced AWHONN certification required
- Must pass an onsite proctored Dysrhythmia Test on day one of assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with high-risk obstetric populations and Level III NICU-adjacent care
- Ability to circulate in the OR (preferred but not required; facility has staff available to cover)
- Prior NICU experience with feeder and grower patients for potential float assignments
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Philips fetal monitoring systems
