Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:00
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) settings
- Manage couplet care for childbearing patients and well newborns, including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
- Utilize EPIC Stork for electronic charting and Omnicell for medication management
- Operate specialized equipment including Belmont Rapid Infuser, Phillips Fetal Monitor, CADD epidural pump, Baxter IV pumps, ATOM cribs and warmers, AVE2 birthing bed, and OBED within the unit
- Participate in on-call rotation; expected once per schedule (approximately every 4 weeks) with a 60-minute callback requirement
- Float within the hospital within scope of skill set as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license required at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; Couplet Care and Postpartum experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible
- ACLS certification required
- AWHONN Intermediate and AWHONN Advanced certifications required
- NRP certification required
- IV Start and Circulate skills required
- Flu vaccination required; exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
- 1 professional reference required at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 4 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
- Familiarity with staffing ratios of 1:2 in Labor and Delivery and 1:4 in Postpartum
