    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Day/Night Rotating Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to labor, post-partum, and newborn nursery patients in accordance with AWHONN staffing guidelines
    • Manage labor and delivery, post-partum couplet care, and newborn nursery care within a combined unit model
    • Assist with post-operative gynecological patient care as needed
    • Float to other departments (e.g., Med/Surg, ER, or ICU) for limited tasks such as vital signs, patient histories, and answering call lights — no patient assignment and no isolation rooms
    • Participate in weekend and holiday rotation (2 weekends out of every 4) and may float to other regional facilities within the southern service area as needed
    • Accurately document all patient care activities using the EPIC electronic health records system
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
    • Current Advanced NRP certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
    • Minimum 2 years of OB experience with Labor and Delivery
    • At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
    • Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
    • Demonstrated competency in Labor and Delivery clinical skills
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • AWHONN and PALS certifications preferred
    • Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
    • Strong adaptability, resilience, and ability to manage change in a variable-census environment
    • Assertive, confident, team-oriented, and socially engaged professional demeanor
