Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, patient-centered nursing care throughout labor and delivery, supporting a range of birthing options including natural childbirth and epidural anesthesia
- Maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio during active labor and a 1:2–1:3 ratio for Mother Baby care within an 8-bed unit
- Perform continuous fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal status
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality obstetric care around the clock
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Hampshire
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery / OB nursing experience
- Fetal monitoring experience required
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification — must be current and in hand at time of submission
- Active AWHONN certification — must be current and in hand at time of submission
- Active NRP certification — must be current and in hand at time of submission
- Labor & Delivery skills checklist completed within the past year
- One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
- STABLE certification highly preferred
