Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans in an acute care setting
Promote continuity of care through effective communication with the interdisciplinary team and patient families as appropriate
Direct and oversee the work of support staff in the provision of patient care
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program
Current RN licensure in the State of Iowa and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to function effectively as part of a team
Demonstrated critical thinking and technical nursing skills with sound clinical judgment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Prior nursing experience in an acute care setting
High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness toward patients and coworkers
