Key Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes physiological manifestations, and intervenes when necessary
Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel

Required Qualifications

Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing
Current RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
BLS certification required
ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program
Strong ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
