Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for Labor and Delivery as well as Mother and Baby patients
- Care for women and neonates on a Level 1 unit, ensuring stabilization prior to continued care or transfer as appropriate
- Support an environment averaging approximately 20 deliveries per month
- Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal patients, intervening as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate safe transitions of care when transfer is required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Maryland (or compact equivalent)
- A copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license must be submitted with all applications
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Ability to work night shift
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level 1 obstetric unit
- Familiarity with Mother and Baby / postpartum care
- Experience with patient stabilization and coordination of transfer processes
