Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for labor and delivery patients in a Level 1 unit setting
- Care for mother and baby through the delivery process and postpartum period
- Stabilize patients as needed prior to continued care or transfer to a higher level of care
- Support an average of approximately 20 deliveries per month
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe and timely patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Maryland (or compact eligibility)
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- A copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license is required with all submissions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level 1 or low-volume labor and delivery unit
- Familiarity with mother-baby care and postpartum nursing
- Experience with patient stabilization and transfer coordination
