    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day/Night Rotating Shifts | 12-Hour Shifts | Every 3rd Weekend Rotation Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients 28 weeks and over, including those on magnesium, Pitocin, and TOLACs, within a 7-bed LDR unit with triage and dedicated cesarean section ORs
    • Circulate cesarean section procedures as required
    • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate nursing interventions for maternal and neonatal patients
    • Perform electronic fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, and provide resuscitation and stabilization of the mother/fetal dyad
    • Float to mother-baby unit as needed and adhere to AWHONN staffing standards
    • Document patient care using Epic and Centricity Perinatal electronic health record systems
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license in the state of Virginia or valid compact license
    • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Must pass EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) competency exam during orientation
    • Ability to circulate a cesarean section
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
    • Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification or Inpatient OB Certification through the National Certification Corporation
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
