Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit within a tertiary teaching hospital setting
- Support labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care at a Level I experience facility
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery, intervening as clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Adhere to facility policies, clinical protocols, and unit-specific procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery nursing
- Active Michigan RN license (required prior to start)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- STABLE certification and AWHONN certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
- Familiarity with high-volume or tertiary-level hospital environments
