    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients (32 weeks gestation and greater), including those undergoing elective and medical induction of labor, stable antepartum patients, postpartum patients, and well newborns in a unit averaging approximately 120 births per month.
    • Circulate in OR suites for cesarean section procedures as required.
    • Perform triage assessments and manage triage patient flow within a dedicated triage area.
    • Titrate drips per protocol, including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin as indicated.
    • Adhere to AWHONN staffing standards, maintaining 1:1 ratios in Labor and Delivery and 1:6 couple care ratios in Postpartum.
    • Float to like Labor and Delivery units within the valley as needed; occasional float as a sitter in Medical-Surgical or Emergency Department settings.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Idaho or a compact state.
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. program completion (at least once) required.
    • AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required.
    • Demonstrated experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and OR circulating roles.
    • Proficiency with electronic fetal monitoring; unit utilizes GE Connect EFM system.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Triage experience in a Labor and Delivery setting strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with titratable drip management, including Pitocin protocols and magnesium sulfate administration.
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery environment.
