Key Responsibilities
Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
Provides age-appropriate care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
Manages supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel across hospital departments
Adheres to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA compliance
Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills with a commitment to improving quality of patient care
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of one year of acute care experience as an RN
Current BLS certification required
Current ACLS certification required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
STABLE certification required
Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate
Effective written and oral communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or obstetrics nursing
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
Familiarity with unit-specific clinical skills in an OB setting
