Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit maintaining a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
- Float between like units as needed to support staffing needs across the department
- Participate in holiday coverage, with an expectation to work 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- Maintain all required certifications including ACLS, BCLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, LA Fire Card, and a valid CA state license
Required Qualifications- Active, unencumbered California RN license (pending licenses not accepted; compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, and LA Fire Card
- Charting proficiency; Epic experience required
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of initial submission - post-submission RTO requests may not be granted
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a Magnet-designated facility
- Familiarity with floating between similar units in a hospital setting
- Flexibility with scheduling, including availability for block schedule arrangements at manager discretion
