Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite | 20-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving low and high-risk patients across triage, LDR, OR, and perinatal settings
- Perform and interpret external fetal monitoring, recognizing and responding to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Circulate for cesarean section procedures in the OR
- Utilize EPIC and unit systems including SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts for documentation and patient management
- Float to Perinatal unit as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Care for a patient population including neonates, adolescents, and adults
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
- Active California Registered Nurse license required at time of submission
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications required
- Ability to work 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) and most holidays
- Willingness to be placed on call when not needed for a scheduled shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume OB unit with both low and high-risk Labor and Delivery patients
- Familiarity with OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia collaborative care environments
