Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a patient population including neonates, adolescents, and adults in a Low and High Risk Labor and Delivery setting
- Utilize external fetal monitoring and demonstrate recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Circulate for C-section procedures within a unit that includes Triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and Post-Partum areas
- Float to Perinatal unit as needed
- Participate in mandatory on-call shifts, expected approximately 2 times per month in addition to scheduled shifts
- Work 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) and be available for most holidays
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- AWHONN Advanced certification required
- Candidates must be free of license restrictions, disciplinary actions, board investigations, or background findings
- Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the travel rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity OB environment with OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support
- Familiarity with unit systems including SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts
- Experience with both low and high risk Labor and Delivery patient populations
