Key Responsibilities
Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data, providing age-appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
Utilize standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators and apply appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
Support department growth through hospital-system initiatives and Evidence Based Practice development.
Float to assist in other like units as needed and perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Ability to work night shift in an onsite setting.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience precepting or mentoring new nursing staff.
Familiarity with Evidence Based Practice initiatives in a clinical setting.
Demonstrated continued professional growth through ongoing education and goal setting.
