Contract | Night Shifts | Rotating Day/Night schedule (switches every 3 weeks) | 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Triage, and Med/Surg Peds when census requires
- Titrate drips including Pitocin, cardiac drips, Heparin, and sedation medications as ordered
- Monitor and read fetal and telemetry strips; collaborate with ICU and charge nurses on complex strip interpretation
- Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines (1:1 during induction, 1:2 Postpartum)
- Float to Med/Surg Peds during low OB census periods
- Adhere to a call/standby requirement with a 1-hour response time
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Experience in both Labor and Delivery AND Med/Surg or Pediatrics
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Critical access hospital experience
- Familiarity with GE Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) systems and Philips telemetry monitors
- Comfort with respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and Airvo
