    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

    Contract | Nights | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:00) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs in a Labor and Delivery setting
    • Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards
    • Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence
    • Promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach toward patients, families, and all members of the care delivery team
    • Participate in the development of and maintain established hospital policies, procedures, objectives, and quality improvement initiatives
    • Float 0–3 times per month as needed; floating from OB is limited to helping hands, sitter/camera watching, or CNA-type work
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license or proof of Alaska license application submitted (pending license accepted)
    • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP
    • Willingness to work an equitable number of weekend shifts per schedule period
    • Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • Two professional references from the past 2 years required; at least one must be from a supervisor (Charge Nurse accepted)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Epic EMR experience, particularly within the last year
    • First-time travelers welcome to apply
