    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care to a designated group of patients within the Maternal Child Health department, addressing physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
    • Assess patients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex; recognize deviations and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status.
    • Develop and prioritize person-centered care plans, involving patients and families in establishing care goals for both expected and unanticipated needs.
    • Demonstrate critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions and proactively addressing potential and actual patient care problems.
    • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration by linking patients and families with other disciplines and services as needed.
    • Float on a rotational basis to other hospital departments outside of Maternal Child Health, including Labor and Delivery, L&D OR/PACU, Postpartum, and NICU.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Demonstrated Labor and Delivery clinical experience.
    • Ability to work within the scope of practice as governed by applicable nursing bodies (AWHONN, ACOG, NNA, AORN).
    • Availability to work based on unit needs with no weekend maximum; candidates with specific day-of-week scheduling requirements will not be considered.
    • Willingness to float to other hospital departments on a rotational basis.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Postpartum nursing experience.
    • Familiarity with Maternal Child Health policies, procedures, and standards, with the ability to serve as a resource to peers.
