    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care in labor, preterm labor, triage, pre-op, post-op, and low-risk antepartum settings across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
    • Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support GYN surgeries and couplet care
    • Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vac systems
    • Administer high-alert medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
    • Perform or assist with cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket application, and drain management
    • Float to Post-Partum and NICU units based on skill set as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active and valid Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
    • Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
    • Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
    • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ACLS certification preferred
    • Experience with transition nursery and high-risk obstetric patient populations
