Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 13 or 26 week contracts available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, including labor, preterm labor, and triage across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Perform circulating, scrub, pre-op, and post-op duties for OB-GYN and GYN surgeries
- Administer blood and blood products, and manage epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and Magnesium Sulfate infusions
- Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery as needed
- Operate and monitor special equipment including cooling/warming blankets, wound vacs, and defibrillation devices
- Float to post-partum and potentially to a sister Labor and Delivery unit at a nearby facility as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; locals are welcome and accepted
- Must commit to working a minimum of 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day); up to 2 holiday requests off may be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with low-risk antepartum and transition nursery care
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
