Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across an 8-bed LDRP unit, encompassing labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
- Manage and titrate Pitocin drips per unit protocol
- Care for Level 1 Nursery patients at 35 weeks gestation or greater
- Monitor patients using the OBIX electronic fetal monitoring system and read own EFM strips
- Participate in block scheduling with weekend and holiday rotations as required
- Operate RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed on the unit
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Demonstrated skills in labor, postpartum, and nursery nursing within an LDRP setting
- Ability to read and interpret electronic fetal monitoring strips independently
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with AWHONN staffing and practice guidelines
- Experience with OBIX fetal monitoring systems
- Prior experience in a Level 1 Nursery environment
