Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to normal and high-risk laboring patients, antepartum patients, and couplet care patients in a Level 3 high-risk facility averaging approximately 250 births per month. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to normal and high-risk laboring patients, antepartum patients, and couplet care patients in a Level 3 high-risk facility averaging approximately 250 births per month
• Circulate and recover C-section patients independently in one of two OR suites on the unit
• Titrate drips including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin per physician orders
• Perform vaginal exams and internal monitor placements; read and interpret fetal monitor strips using the Cerner EFM system
• Float to postpartum/mother-baby and other units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Adhere to staffing ratios: 2:1 for normal laboring patients, 1:1 for high-risk labors, 4:1 for couplet care, and 2:1–4:1 for antepartum depending on acuity, following AWHONN guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Nevada or compact license eligibility
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Must be independent and confident with vaginal exams, internal monitor placement, high-risk labor and delivery, and antepartum patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level 3 high-risk labor and delivery setting
• Familiarity with Cerner EFM documentation systems
• Experience circulating and recovering C-section patients
• Comfort floating to postpartum/mother-baby units
