Contract | Night Shift | 36–48 Hours per Week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
- Provide antepartum and postpartum care for maternity patients and normal newborns
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care with other clinical disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
- Assume recovery responsibilities in Labor and Delivery as needed
- Assist with cesarean section deliveries, including newborn catch, as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS)
- Ability to take over a recovery in Labor and Delivery and assist with cesarean section deliveries
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous acute care facility experience
