Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days and Nights) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vaginal exams and assist with vaginal deliveries; circulate in cesarean section deliveries
- Start IVs and draw blood as required throughout patient care
- Assist with stabilization of newborns post-delivery utilizing NRP skills
- Recognize and respond to obstetric complications including postpartum hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
- Float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
- Work every other holiday as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license or valid Compact license at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery RN experience
- AWHONN Intermediate certification — must be current at submission
- BLS certification (AHA only) — must be current at submission
- FHM certification — must be current at submission
- NRP certification — must be current at submission
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address — local candidates are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
- Two supervisor references preferred at time of submission
