Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor & Delivery setting, including antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases
Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives to support individualized birthing preferences and patient needs
Assist with and support Cesarean births in specialized operating room environments
Deliver postpartum and mother-baby care, including lactation support and newborn assessment
Maintain active NRP, BLS (AHA), and STABLE certifications and apply competencies in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization as needed
Adhere to facility scheduling requirements, including holiday coverage obligations as assigned
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required
Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification required
Active STABLE Certification required
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Must have personal vehicle available for use during this assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or community hospital setting
Familiarity with Joint Commission accreditation standards and patient safety protocols
Experience supporting lactation consultation and individualized postpartum care plans
