Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans across the perinatal continuum.
Deliver direct patient care in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum settings, promoting optimal maternal and newborn outcomes.
Provide culturally sensitive education to patients and families, supporting health literacy and successful transitions of care.
Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader interdisciplinary care team; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license.
Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) required.
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
Ability to deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
SAFER NM Technician certification preferred.
Experience in all aspects of perinatal care, including labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment.
Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance.
