    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

    Location

    Grand Island, NE

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday coverage required as needed

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients
    • Manage and titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Procardia per unit protocols
    • Care for patients with obstetric, antepartum, postpartum, post-surgical GYN, and high-risk diagnoses such as hypertension and diabetes in pregnancy
    • Maintain staffing ratios in accordance with AWHONN guidelines (1:3 general; 1:1 for actively laboring patients)
    • Participate in unit-specific orientation including classroom training and supervised floor shifts
    • Complete a required open-book skills assessment during orientation with a minimum passing score of 90%
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure
    • Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
    • Current BLS certification
    • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • Ability to pass a unit-specific open-book skills assessment with a score of 90% or higher during orientation
    • Compliance with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are not permitted in patient care areas
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients including those with hypertensive disorders or gestational diabetes
    • Familiarity with AWHONN staffing and care guidelines
    • Experience in a breastfeeding-supportive or Baby-Friendly designated unit
