Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother-Baby in a 12-room LDRP unit
- Perform and interpret continuous fetal monitoring using GE and OBIX EFM systems; RNs are responsible for reading their own strips
- Titrate Pitocin drips per physician orders and unit protocol
- Circulate in the OR for cesarean sections as required
- Provide couplet care for mother and newborn in the postpartum setting
- Fulfill on-call/standby and floating requirements per unit policy
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Kansas
- Required certifications: ACLS, NRP, and BLS
- LDRP experience, including couplet care and OR circulation for C-sections
- Ability to titrate Pitocin drips
- Must be present in state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with AWHONN staffing guidelines and ratio standards
- Experience working in a combined L&D/Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit environment
- Comfort working in a setting where OB/Neonatologist and Anesthesia are not in-house 24/7
