Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform sterile vaginal exams independently and without supervision as a core clinical requirement
Conduct triage assessments and manage obstetric emergencies in accordance with unit protocols
Document patient care and clinical data using Epic EMR
Float to Mother Baby unit as needed to support staffing requirements

Required Qualifications
Active, unencumbered California RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
Minimum 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience (1.5 years is a hard stop; candidates with fewer than 2 years may be considered depending on overall experience)
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required (hard stop — must hold a passing credential)
Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NRP
Demonstrated ability to perform sterile vaginal exams and triage independently without supervision
Epic EMR experience required
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard travel rates (candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate)
All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission requests may not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
2 or more years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
Prior experience floating to Mother Baby or similar postpartum settings
Familiarity with Meditech charting systems
Experience working in a high-volume acute care hospital environment
