    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed LDRP unit managing approximately 35 deliveries per month, primarily low-risk patients greater than 36 weeks gestation
    • Titrate drips including oxytocin and occasional magnesium sulfate per unit protocols
    • Read and interpret fetal monitoring strips independently using Philips monitors and the OBIX EFM system
    • Operate and monitor CPAP equipment for newborns awaiting transfer when necessary, given the unit's high-elevation environment
    • Follow AWHONN staffing and care guidelines for patient ratios; charge nurses take patient assignments
    • Fulfill scheduling requirements including 3 full weekends per 6-week period, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday, and 3 on-call shifts per 6-week period
    Required Qualifications
    • Active and unrestricted RN license valid in the state of Colorado
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
    • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted
    • Must be physically present in state for the full week of unit orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior hands-on Labor and Delivery nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Experience titrating obstetric drips such as oxytocin and magnesium sulfate
    • Familiarity with OBIX fetal monitoring systems and Philips telemetry monitors
    • Comfort working in a high-altitude environment where CPAP use for newborns is common
