Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday nights)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a 7-bed L&D unit with an associated Mother/Baby unit and Level 2 NICU/Newborn Nursery
- Manage and assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and induction of labor (Cook catheter, Cervidil, oxytocin)
- Circulate for cesarean sections as required
- Perform IV insertion, lab draws, sterile vaginal exams, foley catheter placement, and epidural assistance
- Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, Corometrics 250 series Fetal Monitor, Monica monitor, and Ranger fluid warmer
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse and Centricity Perinatal (CPN) EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a hospital setting
- Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
- Active Kentucky RN license or Compact license valid in Kentucky (required at time of submission)
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 5 or more years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience with IUFD management and high-acuity obstetric patients
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse and/or Centricity Perinatal documentation systems
