Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery in Fort Defiance, AZ

Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings, supporting a unit averaging approximately 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings, supporting a unit averaging approximately 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
• Support Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) practices, including rooming-in care for mothers and newborns
• May be required to serve as charge nurse on occasion following completion of charge nurse training
• Float to other departments as needed, which may include taking a patient load (if experienced and competent in that setting) or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting; additional experience may be required in some cases
• American Heart Association BLS required
• American Heart Association ACLS or ALSO required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required; RNC-EFM may be substituted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or diverse OB/L&D environment
• Prior experience in a charge nurse or leadership role within an OB setting
• Comfort and competency floating across multiple clinical departments
