Key Responsibilities
Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data, providing age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
Apply standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees and supporting Evidence Based Practice initiatives.
Float to assist in other like units as needed and perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Demonstrated ability to perform age-specific nursing assessments and interventions.
Commitment to patient safety and adherence to standards of nursing practice.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience precepting or mentoring new nursing staff.
Familiarity with hospital-system initiatives and Evidence Based Practice development.
Demonstrated commitment to continued professional growth and ongoing education.
