Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every third weekend required | On-call required (2 twelve-hour shifts per 6-week period)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including high-risk OB cases, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets as assigned
- Perform couplet care for mothers and newborns in the LDRP setting
- Participate in on-call coverage as required by unit scheduling needs
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Adhere to emergency response protocols, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP
- Demonstrated experience with Couplet Care and High-Risk OB
- Epic electronic health records experience required
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced certification
- STABLE certification
